Toby "Ty" Strong IV, a middle child out of 9 children, hails from the nation’s capitol Washington D.C. Since infant size, it seems a crayon or pencil was always in Toby’s possession. Just to pass time by, Toby used to just draw on anything he can put his hands on. It was difficult as in his teen years, the art curriculum wasn’t a popular class for most of his schools. 

Toby was trapped in an art limbo, all he knew was pencil and paper. As time continued, his craft got better, being put in arts class for a few years, until age 14, he was faced with a difficult task...entry into Duke Ellington School of the Arts, D.C.’s only performing arts high school. He got in which was the easiest part, now it came set to be a challenge of improvement and developing an artsmen mindset. Creativity set in overdrive, boundaries unbound, and opportunities limitless. 

During his time at Duke Ellington, Toby was  created a series based on his journey in visual arts. Since graduating Duke Ellington, Toby has incorporated an art business creating art and logos for clients and businesses alike. 

Now he attends Johnson C. Smith University to improve his craft and build a legacy in the visual arts community. 

Toby’s future now consists of advancing in his talents and dreams, creating art that reflects himself, and creating opportunities like his business. To him, there is a gateway of opportunity waiting for people that push themselves hard, to reach the stars, stars even he tries to reach.
